From 25 to 30 November 2025, Nazhoen Lamtoen, in collaboration with the Royal Bhutan Police, conducted training on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) for police personnel at the Youth Development and Rehabilitation Centre (YDRC).
Supported by UNICEF Bhutan, the training focused on strengthening trauma-informed and child-centred approaches for personnel who work closely with children in conflict with the law.
Participants explored the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviour, stress management and burnout prevention, support for emotional and behavioural challenges, empathetic communication, and ways to create safer environments that promote rehabilitation and positive growth.
Nazhoen Lamtoen also thanks the CECD Division under the Department of Education Programmes, MoESD, for facilitating two expert resource persons for the training.
