Nazhoen Lamtoen conducted a half-day orientation and consultation meeting with sector heads from Thimphu Dzongkhag Administration, Thimphu Thromde and state organisations to begin a multi-sectoral social and behaviour change campaign on Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) in Thimphu Dzongkhag.
The meeting introduced the campaign plan and gathered guidance from participating stakeholders. The campaign was designed to include training of trainers and advocacy with local government officials, strengthen platforms for participation at grassroots level, and improve communication channels for reporting violence against children.
The campaign is supported by UNICEF Bhutan in partnership with the National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC).
